Marble Automation has successfully upgraded the Alarm Monitoring and Control System (AMCS) on board the iconic 44-metre sailing yacht Catalina. Originally built by Vitters Shipyard, the yacht recently completed an extensive refit at Pendennis Shipyard in Falmouth, United Kingdom.
As part of this refit, Pendennis Shipyard selected Marble Automation to replace the entire AMCS, relying on the company’s proven expertise in custom marine automation solutions for yachts and other vessels.
The new system offers much more than just basic monitoring. It provides full integration and live readouts of engine, generator, and shore power voltage. Extra features were added as part of the upgrade, including additional system pages and control screens for easier operation.
A dedicated interface page has also been created for navigation light control. This is managed through the trusted MS225 Navigation Light Control from Marble Automation’s own product line, approved by Bureau Veritas.
With this refit, Catalina now sails with a future-ready automation system that brings more control, more safety, and more comfort at sea. The project highlights Marble Automation’s commitment to reliable technology and smart engineering in the marine world.
