Recently,<\/span> Royal T Shipyards<\/span><\/a> in Harlingen delivered the first vessel of the new GADUS 5900 serie to Faroese shipping company<\/span> Navigare<\/span><\/a>. The ship, named Hav Leiti, was christened in traditional style and is the first of four dry cargo vessels set to enter service between 2026 and 2027. The vessel is equipped with an electric self-unloading system and shore power connections for North-European ports.<\/span><\/p>\n

Marble Automation on Board<\/b><\/p>\n

For the automation and monitoring on board the Hav Leiti, Marble Automation was responsible for the complete alarm and control package. The installation covers tank readings, UMS (Unattended Machinery Space) automation using<\/span> MS2006 extensions<\/span><\/a>, and a ballast and bilge control system incorporating the<\/span> Aventics<\/span><\/a> valve system.<\/span><\/p>\n

The UMS setup with MS2006 extensions allows integration of additional third-party signals and equipment into the central alarm system. This gives the crew a clear and complete overview of all machinery spaces without needing to be physically present at all times.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The ballast and bilge control system, combined with the Aventics valve system, handles automated management of water transfer and bilge operations. By connecting the Aventics pneumatic valve system directly into the Marble control setup, the operator gets full control from a single interface, reducing the need for manual intervention and keeping operations straightforward.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The alarm system also feeds into the onboard VDR, ensuring that all alarm and monitoring data is recorded continuously. Beyond the onboard systems, the Marble setup is built to share data with remote monitoring parties such as ship managers, owners or technical superintendents\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Also part of the installation is the MS325B emergency telegraph. A required piece of safety equipment, it ensures direct and fast communication between bridge and engine room when it matters most.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

GADUS 5900 series<\/b><\/p>\n

The Hav Leiti is the first in the GADUS 5900 serie, with the remaining three vessels planned for delivery between now and 2027. With the same automation package to be installed across all ships, crew members moving between vessels will find a familiar working environment each time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
