MV Hawaikinui 2: from keel to horizon🌅 - Royal Bodewes

On 30 April 2025, the HAWAIKINUI 2 was officially delivered to her owners. This special RoRo cargo ship – built by Bodewes and measuring 87 meters long and 15 meters wide – will serve the islands of French Polynesia. Sailing under the flag of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, she will operate on a route connecting Tahiti, Huahine, Raiatea, Taha’a, and Bora Bora.

We, at Marble Automation, are proud to have delivered the full automation package for this vessel. The ship is equipped with our Alarm System, tank monitoring, engine data readings and power overview. In addition, we implemented our Marble UMS, including the MS2006 extensions. With these systems on board, HAWAIKINUI 2 will sail with increased safety, better insight into onboard systems, and more efficient daily operations — ensuring reliable service.

For this project, we also developed a custom bilge and ballast control system to enable and manage safe and efficient water displacement and stability control during operations across island routes.

The Hawaikinui 2 will soon begin her journey in the tropical waters ensuring vital logistics and cargo services to the region.
